What's a Banana Bun?
As americans, we love french style. It’s easy, it’s cool, it’s flowy and neutral, and best of all- effortless when it comes to beauty. French girls are especially lax when it comes to their hair, so we’ve heard from french stylists and bloggers. Wake up, shake it out, apply some product and you’re out the door.
But on those days when maybe your hair is just a little too untamed- that’s when a simple style like the banana bun comes in. Below, we’ve curated the best pictures of this messy, tangly, bun, along with the products you’ll need to achieve it. Viola!
For this sleek take on the BB, simply smooth down hair with a bit of an oil finishing spray and then put your hair in a low ponytail, leaving out some hair on the right side. Then, taking the loose hair, twist and pin around the ponytail until you are satisfied with the look.
For this style, use a dollop of texture cream to give your hair that sea salted look. Then simply split hair in two and wrap around into a small bun while leaving majority of your looks free.
The easiest of the banana bun styles we’ve seen, this version is a knot type twist with lots of free hairs and volume.
