The Best Cream Shadows & Shades For The Holidays
With the holiday season fast approaching (especially for us in NYC) we’re breaking out all of the beauty bits that we rock exclusively in December. It’s the only season where a glitter liner is accepted by all, and those who don’t usually rock a red lip, gladly do. We also love a good wet-looking cream shadow during the holiday season, and we’re showing you our favorite formulas and shades in today’s post for a simple holiday eye look in one wash of color.
One of our fave eye looks around this time of year is a glittery wash of light blue color. This is perfect for the office holiday party or a get together with friends. Our favorite is the RMS Beauty Eye Polish in Inspire, a blue-y silver shade that is almost a neutral. Paired with fanned out lashes and a dark burgundy lip, this is the perfect icicle blue,
If you like more of a purply-blue (think some serious periwinkle vibes) the Vapour Mesmerize Color Radiant stick in Dusk is a gorgeous shade for any eye color. Described as a “wild iris with a shot of silver” this shadow stick applies with one easy swipe and a blending of the finger.
Festive Earth Tones
If you’re looking for something a little chiller for your family activities, there are still so many gorgeous earth tones to choose from that still scream ‘holiday angel’. The ILIA Silken Shadow Stick in And She Was… is currently sold out on the Detox Market website- and for good reason. It’s a gorgeous holiday staple for the eyes that’s easy to apply and stays put for the whole party. This cream shade has slicks of gold throughout to create a dewy effect on the lid with a warm tone.
For those who like a smokier eye, the Kjaer Weis cream shadow in Gorgeous is a pinky-brown with a satin finish that looks especially gorgeous on deeper skin tones. With a bit of silver shimmer, this shadow is a one stop shop to swipe all over the lid and in the crease as a base or just as your main shadow.
