#GetTheLook: Glowy & Summery

We're all missing the warm weather up here in NYC so a little Summer inspo is bound to be the focus on our Pinterest currently. We've been rocking the glowing, light coverage skin recently and wanted to share our tips and tricks on how we achieve this gorgeous look.

Know Your Skin

The most important step in this look is to have hydrating and radiant skin, from your mask routine to your morning skincare. Starting with something as simple as an oil or a serum can make a huge difference in your skincare routine, and you don't even have to invest in an expensive brand. Using Rosehip Oil or Lemongrass Oil can hydrate the skin every morning and the massaging motion wakes up the skin and improves the blood flow. Follow immediately with your day moisturizer and let it sink in as much as possible.

Light Base

Using a light base like a tinted moisturizer or a BB Cream, will even out any redness or blemishes without hiding your skin's glow and letting any freckles show through.

Bronze without the Bronzer

The key to this look is a shiny, cream-based glow, and for that, we recommend an orange, deep-red, or bronze-toned cream blush to bring warmth to the cheeks without using a bronzer. The By Rosie Jane Lip and Cheek color in Poppy is the perfect shade (and exactly what the model is wearing in the above).

Tap on the Glow

Using your fingers to apply your highlighter can help warm up the product and melt it into the skin. Using the Ilia Illuminator Stick in Pearl, swipe on the cheekbones in a crescent moon shape to above the eyebrows and follow up with a swipe on the nose and chin for that super glowy look.
