Amore Pacific Cushion Foundation: Our Fave Right Now
Makeup is only as good as the base it's built on, and foundation is that base. Whether you're a full coverage girl, a BB cream girl, or you can just get away with a little bit of concealer, one of our favorite foundations will work for you: The AmorePacific Cushion Foundation.
Cushion Foundations have taken the makeup world by storm in late 2016-early 2017, and even drugstore brands moved in on the trend. Some of the most famous cushion foundations include the L'Oreal Magic Touch and the Lancome Cushion, but lucky for us, AmorePacific also makes one of the best Korean cushions on the market. Keep reading below for the need to know on this awesome product, and why you need it in your collection no matter who you are.
It's For Every Skin Type
While Cushion Foundations are geared towards people with dry skin because of their water base, users with oily skin won't suffer as much as you think. Since most cushion foundations are water based and not oil based, a simple layer of powder will take away any shine and work well as a BB Cream for those with oily skin.
It's Finish Can Vary
By applying only one layer of the foundation, you'll end up with a dewy, skin-like finish, but the more you build up the foundation, the more matte it will dry, leaving you with a satin-matte finish.
As most cushion foundations do, this one comes it's own compact with a touch-up sponge that fits inside and a full-lid size mirror. It's a great compact to throw in your purse for easy touch-ups on the train, in the car, or at your destination.
It Comes With A Refill
With a steep $60 price tag, it can be scary to imagine dropping so much money on one product, but it's not quite what it seems. On first purchase, you do have to spend the $60 which includes your compact, complete with the cushion inside, plus one refill. Essentially, when your cushion runs out and no longer contains enough foundation, you pop out the cushion section, throw it out and pop the refill in: 2 foundations in one purchase. It's like buying 2 bottles of foundation in a bundle package.
