Autumn Beauty Staples

Is it already October third? Autumn is here and it’s arrived fast, so we’re grateful that we had our Autumn staples ready to go as soon as the heat disappeared. These are products that we swear by for keeping our beauty routine seamless in Autumn and changing up our color palette. Read on below, and let us know in the comment section what your Autumn staples are!

Farmacy Honey Potion Mask

This is our all time favorite mask for the cold weather, as it helps to resurface the skin without drying it out. It’s a great mask for all skin types to help soothe redness, discoloration and texture. This mask starts as a jelly consistency but as it warms up melts into a foamy opaque white color. This mask does give skin a burning sensation, and they recommend that if you have sensitive skin you start by leaving it on for only 5-10 minutes and build your way up. After leaving this mask on for 15-20 minutes, our skin looks a bit red, but once it’s calm it’s hydrated and glowing. We love to do this mask once a week in the Autumn and Winter to slough off dead skin cells and keep our complexion radiant.

Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser

For those with normal to dry skin, this is a great cleanser in the colder months to keep hydration locked in when removing makeup. This cleanser leaves an oily residue on the skin to create a moisture barrier on the skin. This also provides a smooth base for makeup and a barrier between steam in the shower.

Wabisabi Botanicals Formule Intensif 3

Another product made to lock moisture into the skin, this serum-oil is made with chlorophyll to draw oxygen to the skin and give skin that youthful and refreshed appearance. The best way to use this product is to layer it on as the last step in your routine to lock in all of the product you applied previously. It also helps to prevent sun damage which is the number one cause of pre-mature aging and can also be added to your favorite moisturizer or face mask to up the anti of it’s benefits.

Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation

When it comes to that little extra oomph for our face makeup, we love the Ilia True Skin Serum foundation. When your skin is a little bit drier, you’ll be looking for a little more coverage to camouflage any redness from the cool winds. This foundation is a great way to add a boost of coverage to your current tinted moisturizer or on it’s own as a lightweight, medium coverage foundation.

Diptyque Philosykos

After writing this article, we found that although Diptyque is cruelty free and free from a lot of toxic chemicals, it does include benyl benxoate whoch can irritate the skin and eyes. We decided to still include it in this article, however we will be doing a post on clean fragrances soon and encourage you to purchase from there.

This autumnal scent by Diptyque has us singing down the isles of Greece with pomegranates in one hand wearing the chunkiest sweater we own. This beautiful fragrance smells of woodsy figs, an ode to summer nights or autumn days, while still smelling fresh and clean. It’s the smell of fruit trees losing their leaves and crunching underneath your feet and we love it.

French Girl le Lip Tint in Cerise

One of our favorite items to pull out for the autumn months, this Lip Tint is perfect for just about any occasion from a day in the office to a night out with the girls. It’s apply-without-a-mirror easy, and gives a beautiful brick red wash over the lips. We can’t get enough of this autumn beauty staple!
