4 Updo's For Short Haired Gals

With the lob being the most popular haircut of the summer, a lot of us are left wondering to do with our hair on bad hair days (which yes, still happen with short hair).  Whether you're waking up late (again), ran out of dry shampoo (again), or are just bored, these are quick and easy styles for shoulder length hair or shorter that we swear by.

The Mini Space Buns

So maybe we can't go full on space-cadet, but we can still get that cute festival look with short hair by bringing the buns lower on our head.

The French Braids

This is my go-to when I have greasy, third day hair that can't be sorted out. A little dry shampoo for some added texture, and bring the braid straight back, securing with small elastics and bobby pins.

The Accessory Piece

Using a headband is another way to hide couple day old hair. Pull your hair back into a loose bun and use a silk bandana or headband to wrap around your head. Pull out some front pieces for a messy look.

The Milkmaid

This is my favorite style when I want a more elegant up-do with short hair. Split hair down the middle and french (or dutch) braid each side to the back. Then either tuck the braids into eachother and bobby pin or collect into a small bun at the base of your nack and tie into place.
