The Clean Deodorants We Love

Here at E&J, we love to talk about deodorant. We’re the biggest advocates for knowing what crap is in commercial deodorants and the fact that natural deodorants DO work- sometimes even better than commercial deodorants. We’ve expanded our natural deodorant repertoire lately, and we wanted to share some new staples with you for every kind of armpit.

Long-Time Favorite: LaVanila Natural Deodorant in Vanilla + Water

This deodorant brand has been one of our favorites for years for the simple fact that it works. We’ve used the standard formula as well as the sport and now their new elements range, and we can attest that they all work phenomenally. If you’re someone who sweats a little extra, the sport one will be perfect for you. The gorgeous light vanilla scent that is present in all of them keeps B.O at bay, while the smooth texture applies easily and leaves your pits dry all day.

Spray On and Go: Weleda Citrus Deodorant

Something a bit our of our comfort zone, we decided to try this one when Cosmetics by Caroline boasted it was the best of all of the natural deodorants she’s ever tried. This spray on deodorant has the perfect spray nozzle for easy application and takes only a few seconds to dry. We love the citrus scent for something light and fresh, but they also offer a Wild Rose one that we’ve heard is divine. After drying, your pits may feel a bit sticky but once your clothes are on, you won’t even notice. This one was great at keeping us dry and smelling fresh throughout the day, and if you love spray on deodorants, we recommend this one as the best clean beauty option.

Sensitive Pits: Schmidt’s Sensitive Deodorant in Geranium Flower

This has been our favorite deodorant as of late to just throw on when we’re having a chill day or going to an event. The floral scent is a bit strong, but as someone who wears floral perfume, it doesn’t bother me. While we’ve previously tried and disliked the normal Schmidt’s deodorant stick because of the abrasive texture, the sensitive formula has the typical powder texture of other deodorants and applies smoothly. While this deodorant doesn’t leave us as dry as the Lavanila, it does keep us smelling nice and is the perfect shape to chuck in our makeup bag on the go.

For Your Man: Every Man Jack in Citrus

Whether you’re looking for a clean option for your man, or you typically use men’s deodorant anyway, this is a great one for the heavy sweaters. After buying this for my very sweaty man, he swears he’s never going back to what he used to use as this keeps him fresh and nice smelling all day without having to reapply or apply an absurd amount like he used to. He also enjoys the light citrus scent, however they do also offer cedar-wood, mint, sandalwood, fragrance free and fresh scent.
