Art Of Organics: The June Box

A few months ago, we covered a whole host of cruelty free subscription based beauty boxes, including Art of Organics, a clean beauty box. This month, we received their June Lagoon box, full of two full-sized goodies from Ursa Major and Hannes Dottir. Today we're giving you our first impression of the products, plus a little bit about each.

Ursa Major Bright & Easy 3 Minute Flash Mask

This gel mask is a gentle enzyme treatment formulated for all skin types that contains pomegranate enzymes, hibiscus, pineapple, alfalfa and aspen bark to help brighten, smooth, promote elasticity and soothe skin. On first application, it feels cooling and smooth, perfect for hot summer days when you need a skin refresh treatment. We tried the mask as a quick 3 minute mask, though it can be applied for longer for better results, and we found that on very smooth skin, it helped to condition skin and left it softer, however on rougher skins, the 3 minutes didn't do much for skin's texture. We'll be testing it out for the next month in alternating times and let you know what we think.

Hannes Dottir Mineral Mist

Retailing at $45 normally, this mineral mist contains Icelandic multi-vitamins to help boost skins hydration, collagen and regenerate skin cells for softer, more bouncy skin with reduced redness. Aside from beautiful packaging, the mist is also perfect: fine but precise so that you're not wasting product. With other face mists, dry skin is often left feeling tight once it dries. So far, we're loving this mist, especially over makeup for a dewy boost to any dry or powdery areas. It has a small, pleasant scent and feels very cooling on the skin.
