Vapour Organics: The Perfect Base Combo

I’m a dewy girl, and there’s nothing that anyone could ever say to change that. Not only does a dewy base revive me after a sleepless night, a flight or a long day at work, but it’s also the best way to make a bad skin day better. I recently ordered both the Vapour Organic Stick Foundation as well as their Atmospheric Liquid Foundation in hopes of finding a super glowy foundation with a light-medium coverage that still looked like skin. So which base did exactly that?

I started off with the stick foundation, and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. While it is that thick creamy texture that a stick foundation has to have, it blends out to a seamless, skin-like finish, and I applied extra on any dark circles or redness. I applied this with a brush, a beauty blender and my fingers and found that the sponge and my fingers worked best for the finish I was looking for. Buffing it with a brush caused it to mattify a bit and it didn’t melt into my skin like it did with the sponge or my fingers, it gave off a powdery finish.  However, applying it with my fingers or a sponge gave my skin a natural finish with a little extra glow and lasted pretty well throughout the day, rubbing off in the usual spots, which for me is my chin and jaw.

After being pleasantly surprised with the foundation stick, I moved on to try the liquid, which I found to be just as good if not better. The liquid foundation melts into your skin even more than the stick formula giving you that super light no foundation look and hydrating the skin for a super glowy finish. Surprisingly, I found that the liquid lasted better than the stick: while it did fade by the end of the day, I was still left with even coverage on my face, whereas the stick rubbed off more in some places than others. I also apply this with a sponge as fingers sheer it out too much and a brush mattifies it. For me, this product is my perfect foundation and it’s a breath of fresh air to finally find it. I also tested this with a translucent powder over top, and it didn’t separate or patch-up underneath, it was just less glowy throughout the day.

If you’re looking for a new base product I highly recommend trying one of the Vapour foundations as they are both amazing and made with delicious ingredients that won’t harm your skin. I love both of these products and I will be repurchasing them when I run out: the stick is the perfect multi-use product for base, concealer and sculpting, while the liquid is the perfect everyday quick and easy foundation.
