20 Clean Beauty Brands Who Donated To #BLM Charities (And who you should support)

If you’re not anti-racist, you are aiding and abetting racism.

Over these past two weeks, we have learned so much as to what it truly means to be anti-racist. It means having the difficult conversations at the dinner table and at family gatherings, it means putting your money where your mouth is and donating to charities that support black people and POC. And it means checking yourself when it comes to diversity and inclusivity from your brand. We’ve slacked in that department, and we’re owning up to it. For more on this, check out our diversity and incluvisity initiative that we’re implementing immediately.

If you’re looking to put your money where your mouth is and support brands who support black lives matter and actively donated to other black-benefiting charities and programs, check out these 20 brands below.

We're honored to donate 100% of our profits in June on playabeauty.com to support the fight for justice and equality. Our support will go to the four women-founded & women-run organizations that we made initial donations to last week (list below), and we encourage you to join us if you are able to. ⠀⠀ ⠀ As our founder Shelby shared last month, we have faced delays re-stocking our most popular products as our US-based production partners have had to slow operations due to COVID-19. We've set a goal to re-stock our full line within the next 6 weeks, and a broader assortment is available from our partners at @Sephora. We will also be re-releasing an improved version of our best-selling Pure Dry Shampoo tomorrow. ⠀ ⠀ For now, what we're able to sell, we'll give back. Thank you to everyone within our community who is marching, donating, raising awareness, and having difficult conversations. Black lives matter, and we are with you.⠀ ⠀ @advancementproject: Inspiring & supporting national & local movements toward a just democracy.⠀ ⠀ Center for Policing Equity: Promoting police transparency, equity & accountability via research.⠀ ⠀ @higherheights4 Leadership Fund: Building a national civic engagement infrastructure & network to strengthen Black women’s leadership capacity.⠀ ⠀ Project Nia: Working to end the incarceration of children & young adults by promoting restorative & transformative justice practices.⠀ ⠀ #blacklivesmatter
