Our Favorite Pots & Potions of 2019 So Far

As cream product lovers, we’re prone to a pot heavy makeup bag, so today we’re going through all our favorites of 2019 so far with some new additions and old classics.

Leahlani Meli Glow

If you’re a frequent reader, you know that Leahlani is one of our absolute favorite brands for skincare, and the Meli Glow Mask is our HG favorite. If we could only have one mask, it’d be this one. Meli Glow is exfoliating, cleansing and hydrating with a honey base and hyaluronic acid to help skin retain bounce and dew.

Leahlani Bless Balm

In our last Leahlani order, the ladies sent over a sample of their Bless Balm, and it’s one of the best multi-tasking balms we’ve tried. It’s hydrating without being too thick, and we love using it as a lip balm when doing our makeup because it doesn’t leave a white cast or too thick of a layer. Bless Balm is also an amazing ingredient in any skincare potion: check out Leahlani’s Instagram for mixing recipes with bless balm and Meli Glow or even with their mermaid mask- it boosts the hydration of any mask.

Glossier Stretch Concealer

We’re not going to go on too much about this concealer because you guys know we love it: it’s thin but has great coverage, doesn’t leave skin dry or crepey and lasts all day. For a cream beauty lover, what else could you want?

Tata Harper Floral Hydrating Mask

Okay, this mask though. If you have dry skin, dehydrated skin or are in the market for a truly hydrating mask, this is the one. It’s worth every penny of the $95 price tag, because this baby really works. With a balmy, yet thin, consistency and a cooling sensation, this mask goes on like a dream and spreads evenly on the skin creating a thin layer. It has a slightly green tint, but it’s still something you could wear in-flight if you are prone to dehydrated airplane skin. Our editor loves to use this as a spot treatment on dry spots when showering to help lock in moisture and prevent skin dehydration.

Tata Harper Volumizing Lip & Cheek

This is another product that’s an old favorite. The creamy Tata Harper Lip and Cheek Tints are the best multitasking product to bring with you on a summer vacation for that just-bitten natural flush from every shade in the range. Our favorites include Very Popular and Very Sweet for a peachy color to the face.

RMS Lunar Eye polish

Talk about a multi-tasker. While this product is technically an eye shadow, it is one of our favorite cream highlighters in our collection. With a golden-clear tint, we love to tap this onto the brow bone, cheeks and tip of the nose for an undetectable glow with a perfect amount of shimmer. We’ve also used this as a shoulder shimmer and highlighting other parts of the body since a little goes a long way.

Neil’s Yard Wild Rose Balm

Another multi-tasking balm on the list, this is the Bless Balm’s Winter sister. This Neil’s Yard balm is a lot thicker than the bless balm, which creates more of a seal to lock in the moisture. We were loving having this on our desk for the winter months to put on the lips, cuticles, or any other dry spots. We’ve even put this on over makeup and it sits great, without disturbing your foundation and adding a bit of shine.

Ilia Transluscent Powder

Last but not least is a product I never thought I’d be including in a favorites-type list. As a dry girl, powder is not my friend, but after receiving a sample of this Ilia Translucent Powder, it’s everything I could have ever wanted. When applying this powder, it doesn’t mattify makeup, nor does it show my dry spots and patches, but it helps to set my makeup in place while still leaving me with my glow. I also love that this product can be layered underneath cream products without pilling, balling or clumping up. It helps my makeup to last throughout the day and I love the finish it gives my look.
