The Wavy Hair Inspiration That Fuels Our Wash Day (+ their go-to product)

It’s hard to run the race without knowing there’s a finish line, and that’s who wash day can feel sometimes for those of us with curly hair. There’s always room to improve our curls, but since I only have decently curly to wavy hair, looking up to girls with gorgeous ringlets and natural volume just isn’t achievable. So over the past couple months I’ve been looking for people who are not only chic and stylish but also hav hair similar to or close to mine- and so I give to you my four hair queens who are completely chic and definitely achievable.

Okay so my #1 hands down is the amazing Harling Ross. My favorite thing about browsing here pictures is how much her hair fluctuates: it’s not always perfect and living with wavy/curly hair is so unpredictable it’s nice to know that someone so cool also has bad hair days. Harling is the brand director at Man Repeller and I live for her curly hair routines and the history with her hair. She recently had a feature on Into The Gloss that I was all over where she talked about her fave product: The IGK Mistress hair balm. Don’t worry, I’ve already ordered it and I can’t wait to get it all up in these curls.

Basically Daisy Murray is our fashion, hair and career inspiration all rolled into one. Oh, and she lives in London, what a dream. We love the soft natural waves that Daisy rocks rain, shine, formal event or WFH. She rocks her Type 2 curls and reminds us that every kind of curl is cute and appropriate for any occasion. Oh, and she rocks a headband like no other. Sadly it doesn’t seem that she’s given a hair routine anywhere, but I’ll be waiting, eagerly, for that article.

If you need some short haircut inspiration Katie Jayne Becker is the girl for you. Not only is she an absolute QT, her hair is always gorgeous, voluminous and imperfectly perfect. Plus, she’s the Beauty Director at Elle magazine which means she always knows what’s up. In a recent interview with Coveteur, she talked about her favorite products for curly hair. “I use Sachajuan Hair Mousse right out of the shower on towel-dried hair to stick the ringlet pattern together from the get-go.” That’s a mousse lover we can get behind.

BANGS! You know we couldn’t resist some good bangs porn. Alyssa Coscarelli is the best curly bangs inspo ever and we’re beyond tempted to try it out everytime she posts a picture of her amazing shag cut. Her curls are also big, bouncy and amazingly retro and somehow go with all of her stunning looks. I guess it’s no suprise that her hair always looks so good when she has the same hair stylist as Katie Jayne Becker ( see above) and Hannah Baxter of Coveteur. In her IG stories going over her hair routine, she almost always uses the Bumble & Bumble Curl Pre Style Primer as a styler and refresher for second day curls.
